Recently, I had the privilege of capturing the tender moments of a young family in Morgan Hill as they embraced their first baby, a precious newborn girl. The morning light streamed through the windows, casting a beautiful glow on the scene. The baby, peacefully sleeping, was already surrounded by the immense love of her adoring parents. It was a moment frozen in time, and my goal was to document the beauty of these early days.
For the shoot, we carefully selected outfits that reflected the family’s style and complemented the occasion’s timeless essence. The mama donned a timeless linen dress with a subtle floral print, creating an air of soft elegance. The newborn was dressed in an heirloom knitted outfit, complete with a delicate lace headpiece, adding a touch of vintage charm to the images. Dad kept it simple and neutral, allowing the focus to remain on the love and connection shared within the family.
To capture the softness of the baby’s skin and evoke a sense of nostalgia, we opted for a professional Kodak film. The result was a series of images with a creamy texture and an instant timeless feel.
