Another month of sheltering in place. I’m trying to document our family’s life during the quarantine. If you have missed the previous post, you can check it out here.
This time most of the public places: beaches, forests, and state parks were closed, so we stayed close to home! We went fishing a couple of times to Chesbro Reservoir and even caught a carp! We made a day road trip along the PCH – even watching the ocean from the safety of your car is so refreshing! But mostly, we just walked in the neighborhood.
We also did an impromptu Easter family portraits.
Also, the homeschooling started in full swing. We tried our best to keep the kids busy and active with daily PE classes, art projects, and reading. We alternate a hike, kickboxing, yoga, ball practice, and bike rides.
Some days were more organized, and some were filled with procrastinating, goofing around in pajamas, and lots of snacks!
I hope you stay healthy and safe! Take a peek at our quarantine life April chronicles.
P.S. Here are our three favorite educational Youtube Channels that we watch regularly these days. Kids are busy, I have a couple of minutes to myself and not being guilty to have them in front of screens:
Art for Kids Hub – a father of four does drawing tutorials with his kids, different levels for ages ranging from toddler to teen.
Story Line Online – this one was actually recommended by our school district. Screen actors read books with light animation.
Cosmic Kids Yoga – Yoga practice and storytime. Our favorites are Harry Potter, Trolls, and Frozen.
