I’ve been privileged to photograph the Pleasanton family for a few years. From the time the first two kids were tiny toddlers through the third pregnancy and newborn stages.
The mother – Katie, who is a fellow family photographer and a friend, had dreamed about a Bay Area beach family photoshoot. That hidden beach in Santa Cruz was a perfect backdrop with the majestic cliffs. We had that gorgeous location to ourselves that day!
The kids enjoyed their time outdoors and exploring every nook and alcove of the beach, running away from the waves and collecting treasures.
When I got the film scan back, it was a bitter-sweet moment looking at the picture of Katie holding her oldest son. I realized it may be the last year she could pick him up for a photo. They grow up too fast!
So excited that we documented this new chapter for the Pleasantons and looking forward to our next adventure together!
