Meet Devany, Edward, and their two cute little boys Charlie and newborn Benjamin. We met a couple of months ago during a maternity session in the Arizona Cactus Garden. Devany booked my maternity and lifestyle newborn photography package. That is a great way to document a full story of the baby’s arrival!
This time I was welcomed to their cozy home in Santa Clara to capture Benjamin’s newborn photos. I used to live in that beautiful neighborhood and felt a little nostalgia driving to this Santa Clara newborn photography session.
Since we got to know each other during the maternity photoshoot, both parents were calm and comfortable in front of my camera. Devany picked the most photogenic outfits for each family member and I love how cozy they looked in their flannels and sweaters. It was a gloomy winter day in Santa Clara, but the house was full of warmth and pretty light which was perfect for newborn photography.
I loved the beautiful light blue and white “Counting sheep” inspired nursery. The neutral sheep crib sheet was a perfect backdrop for Benji’s photos. We took a lot of Benjamin’s first portraits, both awake and asleep. He did so great with all the changes and moving through the house. Benjamin also shared a couple of smiles with mommy and daddy. I was so happy to capture that sweet connection between parents and the baby! Little Charlie gave his baby brother sweet hugs and kisses as gentle as a toddler can be!
